Determine What’s Next
You do not have to know exactly what kind of next step you need.
You may know something in your caregiving situation needs attention without yet knowing what it requires.
The right next step depends on what you are trying to determine now.
I want to understand what I need
before I bring my situation to someone.
The situations people bring into advising are not always dramatic.
Sometimes several consequential things have to be worked through together. Sometimes something small has happened and they are not sure whether it matters. Sometimes they already know the available options but still have to determine which one actually fits the situation they are living.
What matters is whether the situation can be worked through far enough to understand what it means and what, if anything, needs to happen next.
You know something may need attention, but you are not yet sure what you are looking at.
Assess Your Situation
Use the assessment to look more closely at what has changed, what is still working, what may require attention, and whether the caregiving situation may need to be understood or organized differently.
It is not a measure of how severe or overwhelming your caregiving is. It is a way to clarify what is actually happening and what kind of next step may be appropriate.
You want to learn more before bringing your own situation into the work.
Attend a Free Workshop
The free workshop gives you another way to learn and consider caregiving situations through the reasoning behind Caregiving System Advising without beginning with your own situation.
Free workshops return in October.
I am ready to bring an actual caregiving situation into the conversation.
You have a specific caregiving situation you keep trying to figure out.
Ask the DigniCare™ Advisor
Bring the situation you are trying to understand now to a small live Caregiving System Advising session.
You do not need to bring your whole caregiving story or know exactly how to phrase the problem. Bring what is happening, and we will work from there.
Ask the DigniCare™ Advisor is free, live on Zoom, and offered every other month. Participation is limited, and the session is recorded for use in the Dementia Caregiver Support for Christians podcast and other DigniCare™ by Design content.
You think Caregiving System Advising may be what your situation requires.
Book a Fit Call
You do not need to determine for yourself whether Direct Access Caregiver Advising is appropriate—or which form of the advisory relationship would fit.
The free Fit Call looks at enough of your actual caregiving situation to determine whether Caregiving System Advising is the work that is needed and whether Direct Access Caregiver Advising is an appropriate fit.
It is not an advisory session, enrollment, or a commitment to purchase.
