Situation Confirmed
You are reaching your limit
“When the level of care required has to be sustained AND I cannot continue to carry it day after day THEN what is required has changed.”
What this means
This is no longer only about feeling tired or overwhelmed.
The level of care now required is beginning to consume the margin your own life depends on.
At first, many caregivers compensate quietly.
They push harder.
Sleep less.
Delay appointments.
Carry more.
Keep adjusting.
But over time, the consequences usually spread beyond the caregiving situation itself.
Adult children sometimes realize they are sacrificing their own health, marriage, parenting, financial stability, or future well-being in ways that eventually affect their own children later.
Spouses sometimes realize they are physically declining while trying to keep everything afloat, creating growing concern about what happens if they become unable to continue first.
The problem is no longer only the amount of work.
The problem is that continuing this way is now damaging the stability of multiple lives at the same time.
How this situation is worked through
Situations like this are worked through regularly inside Fellowship Advising.
These situations often develop slowly as caregiving absorbs more time, energy, attention, and responsibility over time.
The work often becomes recognizing:
- what can no longer continue the same way
- what is already being sacrificed to keep caregiving functioning
- what happens if the caregiver themselves begins breaking down
- what changes need attention before the situation reaches crisis
How Fellowship Advising works
Each week, multiple real caregiving situations are reviewed live.
You watch situations get worked through step-by-step as the next decisions become clearer.
You do not need your exact situation selected before the session becomes useful.
Many caregivers recognize what needs attention in their own caregiving while watching similar eating and daily-function situations being worked through.
Why this matters
Many caregivers continue functioning far beyond what is realistically sustainable because they feel responsible to keep everything going.
But at some point, continuing the same way stops protecting the people involved.
This is the next step to begin working through your situation.
